More than 280 victims in Puerto Lleras, Meta were assisted

During the conference, the survivors of armed conflict, in addition to receiving attention from the Victims Unit, had the offer of entities such as the Government of Meta, the National Land Agency and the Norwegian Refugee Council.

On June 18 and 19, the Victims Unit held days of attention to survivors of armed conflict residing in Puerto Lleras (Meta), with the purpose of knowing and evaluating the real situation of each home victim of forced displacement with the objective of initiating its accompaniment to access different measures, programs and projects contemplated in Law 1448 of 2011.

"The Unit's team documented and updated all the cases of victims who are processing with the entity to subsequently have effective access to the entire offer of the State provided by local governments, ie health, education and housing, among others. Equally, so that the survivors of armed conflict in this area of ​​the country can access and exercise their rights to truth, justice and reparation", said Carlos Pardo Alezones, territorial director for Meta and Llanos de la Unidad.

Likewise, "during the day, more than 280 people benefited through this exercise that took place in the facilities of the municipal council. Our officials provided information, guidance, assistance and accompaniment to the victims of armed conflict resident in this municipality of Meta", concluded the director.

This accompaniment focuses, particularly, on the enjoyment of minimum subsistence, the overcoming of the situation of vulnerability and integral reparation, with the purpose of guaranteeing the effective enjoyment of the rights of victims, allowing the survivors of conflict improve their quality of life.

During the conference, entities such as the Government of Meta, the Norwegian Council for Refugees and the National Land Agency participated.
