More than 200 survivors of armed conflict in Urabá-Darién were compensated

The Victims Unit expects to complete 363 people compensated in January, in the 14 municipalities that make up this territorial address, for resources over $ 2,000 million.

The territorial direction Urabá-Darién of the Victims Unit continues in 2020 with the delivery of compensation to survivors of armed conflict, beginning in this period with the municipalities of Apartadó and Turbo, with the goal of compensating a total of 363 survivors in these and the other municipalities grouped in the territorial.

In the first days this year, 217 survivors have been compensated, complying with the prioritization criteria established in resolution 1049 of 2019, for people over 74, victims with a disability or terminal or ruinous diseases.

During the conference, Elizabeth Granada Ríos, director of this territorial, has insisted that, from the differential approach, the rights of these victims be preserved and protected, which in most cases are in special conditions of vulnerability, for that reason Preventive interventions against fraud are carried out, with the measures established by the Unit to safeguard the survivors compensated.

The sessions will continue advanced in the north, south of Urabá Antioqueño and Darién Chocoano, allowing more people to resume their life projects, and return their hope to a new beginning.

In the past term, the territorial company delivered administrative compensation for $ 50,751 million with a cut to November 2019.

In addition, the different programs and projects with the communities and subjects of collective reparation will continue to be executed, among other mission processes that the Victims Unit implements in the territory.
