Letters of compensation are delivered to victims of the Pacific Coast of Nariño
With the call to the beneficiaries to be judgmental in the investment of resources and not to use intermediaries, 161 victims of the Telembí Triangle were beneficiaries.
Fulfilling the biosecurity requirements, and in coordination with the municipal mayor of Barbacoas, the Victims Unit delivered 161 letters of compensation with an investment of more than 1.359 million pesos to victims of armed conflict selected thanks to the route established by the Resolution 1049 of 2019, which prioritizes payments to people over 74 years of age, with disabilities or with some catastrophic illness.
Adams Rincón, Mayor of Barbacoas, highlighted: “It is an exercise never seen before, in conjunction with the Ombudsman and the Mayor's Office, for you who have waited for your compensation and today it is a reality, with a historical figure in investment for our municipality We acknowledge the work of the Unit, its territorial director, who demonstrate the effectiveness and commitment to the victims.
For his part, William Pinzón Fernández, territorial director of the Victims Unit in Nariño, affirmed that “with this type of delivery we are demonstrating our commitment and that we have our eyes on the municipalities of the Pacific Coast of Nariño, making a great effort to serve the victims in their reparation, in coordination with the Mayor's Office, remember that every day we work together for the victims.
Dyalis Alicia Vargas, municipal prosecutor, requested a minute of silence as a representation of the light, hope and peace that the victims seek.
