Educational institutions of Magüí Payán received allocations through a strategy to prevent forced recruitment

With an investment of more than 69 million pesos, the Unit delivered a movable endowment to educational institutions in different villages of this Nariño municipality.

Within the framework of the prevention of forced recruitment, through the decrease in school dropout, furniture was supplied in educational institutions in Alto Estero, Bolívar, Cualala, Brisas de Hamburgo, Guilpi Piragua, La Isla, Pampeta and Ricaurte Villages of the municipality of Magüí Payán in the department of Nariño.

Through the delivery of desks, filing cabinets, dining rooms, shelves, desks, chairs, boards among others, it is intended to improve educational conditions and thus motivate children and adolescents who are in the midst of armed conflict to have education as a priority and life project. In this installment the Unit invested more than 69 million pesos.

The territorial director of Nariño, William Pinzón Fernández, highlighted the importance of this delivery as a social and community infrastructure project, which shows the commitment of the Victims Unit with the more than 3,000 survivors of conflict that are in the municipality of the peaceful Nariño coast, in addition to motivating children to continue their studies, to tell them that they are not alone and that education will allow them to guarantee a better future.

This endowment was delivered with the presence of the victims' liaison, the municipality's authority, the mayor in charge, representatives of the Victim Participation Board and rectors of the educational institutions.
