Director of the Unit delivered compensation, fabrics and family kits in Sincelejo

In compliance with the reparation and assistance measures, the Unit supports the victims of conflict in times of pandemic.

Ramón Rodríguez Andrade, general director of the Victims Unit, described his visit to the city of Sincelejo (Sucre) as “very positive”, where he delivered compensation for the priority route to 24 victims of the conflict, for a value close to $ 120 million.

Subsequently, Ramón Rodríguez delivered several rolls of cloth, donated by the National Tax and Customs Directorate (DIAN), to 10 organizations of women victims of Sucre, such as: Narrar para Vivir (municipality of San Antonio de Palmito), Narrar para Vivir (San Onofre), Narrar para vivir (Morroa), Narrar para vivir (Los Palmitos), Narrar para vivir (Colosó), Narrar para vivir (Sheep), the Association of Women Victims and Survivors of the municipality of Morroa (Asomosivem), the Association of Afro-descendant Victims and Vulnerable Women of San Onofre (Asomosan), the Corporation for Afro-Colombian Women and Victims of the Armed Conflict Builders of Peace (Corpamvic) and the Network of Memory Weavers.

One of the beneficiaries was Maribel Estrada Ramos, from Narrar para Vivir association in Morroa, who assured that she is "very grateful to the Victims Unit for the delivery of these fabrics as it helps us to improve our income".

Similarly, the director of the Unit brought family kits to members of the returned and relocated community, Cabildo Menor La Peñata, made up of 55 households. Family kits contain, among other items, clothing, footwear and bags.

Finally, Ramón Rodríguez visited the productive project "Supérate", made up of women victims of sexual violence in the context of conflict.

"The visit to Sincelejo was very positive. We met with officials of the entity, we delivered compensation, rolls of cloth to associations of women victims and also family kits to victims of the region", Rodríguez concluded.

For the remainder of the year, the Victims Unit will continue to carry out days of delivery of letters of compensation, endowments for communities and donations, within the framework of assistance and reparation activities for the victim population throughout the national territory.
