Fulfilling the commitment to continue advancing in matters of reparation, assistance and attention to the victims of Samaniego in Nariño, the Victims Unit completed the delivery of 201 letters of compensation, with an investment of more than $ 1,314 million to selected victims of the armed conflict thanks to the route established by Resolution 1049 of 2019, which prioritizes payments to people over 74 years of age, with disabilities or with a catastrophic illness.

According to William Pinzón Fernández, territorial director of the Unit for Victims in Nariño, “the entity is committed to repairing the victims of our department, at this time the municipality is going through, and after the commitments made during the visit of the President Iván Duque ".

Similarly, the official added that "we will continue working for the victims, in this case arriving with administrative compensation in a few days that are carried out through coordination with the Mayor's Office and complying with the biosafety protocols."

"It is not our only intervention, but we will continue to implement more strategies to advance comprehensive reparation in this area of ​​the country," added the official.
