With a total investment of $ 384.6 million pesos, the Victims' Unit delivered 72 administrative compensations to the same number of victims of armed conflict in Córdoba.

72 Administrative compensation letters were delivered to the headquarters of the Territorial Directorate of the Victims Unit in Córdoba, this morning with which the beneficiaries can go and claim the resources from the financial institution designated for that purpose.

The director in charge of the Unit in that department, Juan Felipe Acosta, led the act of delivery of the resources with which the Unit is serving the victims of that region. "It is satisfactory to contribute to the compensation of the life project of indemnified persons today; see his face of joy, after the pain they carry in the soul, is priceless, "said the official.

Before receiving the resources, the beneficiaries participate in a workshop in which they are given guidance so that they are not deceived and may become victims of fraud and lose this money. Also, it is explained to them what the most appropriate form of investment of resources of the compensation can be so that they transform in a positive way their life and that of their family group: purchase of house or lot, improvement or construction of housing, investment in education or in an enterprise that guarantees economic self-sustainability.

Compensation is one of the measures of individual comprehensive reparation for people who suffered damages due to armed conflict. The other measures are: satisfaction, restitution of rights, rehabilitation (physical and emotional) and guarantees of non-repetition.

In Córdoba there are 363,877 people included in the Single Registry of Victims, of which 28,861 have received compensation and the Unit has transferred $ 181,484 million for this concept.
