"Contribution for the realization of historical memory ritual"

The Victims Unit in Cauca, accompanied the ritual to the historical memory of the NASA Kite Kiwe community, which was held in the municipality of Timbío and commemorated the 2nd anniversary of the killing of Major and Sath Nej Wesx Gerson Acosta, governor of the council, who was murdered on April 19, 2017.

The shelter that was created as a result of a massive displacement in the hands of paramilitaries in 2001, initiated the ritual with a territorial tour through stations created from the community, where each of them represented an epoch in a timeline, explaining the different events that marked the community within the internal armed conflict.

In this activity "we also remember different leaders, organizations that resist and demand the defense of human rights and the people. In the same way, we remember events or transcendental events for our community and organizational and claiming process, "said José Rodvel Collazos Yule, member of the Kite Kiwe community.

In this sense, comprehensive sanitation was made to the territory and community, through the revitalization and dignity of the memory, where the team of the Victims Unit carried out an accompaniment from the Psychosocial and implementation areas in the framework of compliance with the measures of satisfaction.

"These spaces allow us to reconstruct the uses and customs that have been carried out ancestrally and at some point they were affected by the internal armed conflict, for this reason for the Victims Unit it is a priority to advance this type of repairs, which comply with the Satisfaction measures agreed with the community" was ratified by Harry Harry Sánchez Cobo, territorial director of the Victims Unit in Cauca.
