Communal Action Boards in Chámeza received agricultural tools

The elements delivered are a measure of restitution of rights contemplated in the Collective Reparation Plan for the 1,932 victims who, according to Unit Registry, reside in Chámeza, Casanare.

The twenty-one Communal Action Boards of Chámeza municipality, Casanare, received agricultural tools and technological equipment that will facilitate the participation of community in collective projects and in the reconstruction of the social fabric.

Fredy Valero, president of Municipal Association of Community Action Boards of Chámeza, thanked the Unit for its support to strengthen community work in his municipality. "These received tools help us unite and strengthen us as a community; We are immensely grateful and this is historic for the municipality, "said the community leader.

For his part, Carlos Arturo Pardo Alezones, territorial director of Victims Unit in Meta and Llanos Orientales, stressed that the delivery is a significant step forward for the inhabitants of the collective of Chámeza to empower themselves and rebuild their lives.

"It is pleasing for the Unit to make this delivery, because we are complying with a measure of reparation that seeks to strengthen the leadership of these community organizations, so that they continue to promote the development of collective tasks that promote the improvement of  quality of life of those who suffered from armed conflict in Chámeza, "said the official.

The endowment, which was delivered through the World Bank, is composed of agricultural tools such as sprayer pumps, shovels, wheelbarrows, scythes, among others, as well as technological equipment such as laptops, printers, microphones, voice recorders and furniture elements office such as chairs, fans, tables, desks and acrylic boards.

The day was led by the Victims Unit through the collective repair professional, Ezequiel Vargas, and was accompanied by the professional María Fernanda Salamanca, general sub-directorate of the entity, and the Mayor's Office of Chámeza.
