Children who are victims of Casanare know their rights and strengthen their goals
Through the Cre-Ser strategy, these minors appropriate important tools for citizen participation.
The Victims Unit began the implementation of the Cre-Ser strategy, with a group of boys and girls between the ages of 10 and 12, residents of the municipalities of Yopal and Trinidad, in Casanare.
Through this initiative, the entity seeks that they focus their goals, guaranteeing the good investment of the resources for compensation that they will receive once they reach the age of majority.
In this orientation day, minors learn about their rights, as they are subjects of special protection, and they recognize important tools for citizen participation.
The director of the Unit in Meta and Llanos Orientales, Carlos Pardo Alezones, highlighted the accompaniment of the parents throughout this activity, who does not seek anything other than the strengthening of the life projects of this population.
"We want the children who are victims of armed conflict to achieve their dreams, and that is why we provide them with tools that will help guide their lives", he said.
According to the Single Registry of Victims (RUV), in Colombia there are 2,228,047 minors who are victims of the internal armed conflict.
