Characterization of 150 returned families to meet their needs

About 400 people returned to their lands were treated at the Regional Center for Victim Assistance in Monteria.

The Victims Unit held this weekend a massive characterization session for 150 families that are part of the program of returns and relocations of the National Land Agency, in order to determine the needs and living conditions of these survivors of the conflict armed.

Through the National Land Agency these families have had a response from the State in the matter of land allocation. The task of the Unit for Victims is, now, to articulate with all the state supply the programs and services so that they arrive with solutions and benefits to those communities.

At least 400 people were attended at the Regional Care Center of Monteria; belong to the village of Las Pavas in the municipality of Canalete, to San Carlos in Planeta Rica, and to the Palmas de Chipilín and San Francisco properties in Montería

"What we want is that the return and relocation of these families be done in a dignified manner, that is why we are characterizing this population that is returning and those who are already occupying the land to know which with the basic needs, such as roads, health or education and articulate with all entities so that they know the needs and solutions arrive, "said Manuel Pacheco Salgado, territorial director of the Victims Unit in Cordoba.

Juan Manuel Pérez, community leader and beneficiary of the project, mentioned that "first of all we need ways to get our products to the city, everything we harvest goes to the urban area of ​​Montería but we do not have good roads, we need clean water, health and households".

After this characterization, a visit to each area will be carried out, together with the other entities, so that at first sight the deficiencies of the communities in terms of infrastructure, social and economic can be identified.
