Young people from the departments of Boyacá, Tolima and Cundinamarca took part in “Proyectandonos” meetings, implemented by the Unit's psychosocial group.

The Central Territorial Directorate of the Victims Unit maintains the virtual meetings "Proyectandonos", in which adolescents between 13 and 17 years old participate.
The activity is part of the capacity building strategy and is a psychosocial support for adolescent’s victims of armed conflict to appropriate tools in the process of training and planning their lives.
In the current context of the pandemic, the meetings have also become a space for accompaniment and feedback of experiences among young people who have as their common denominator having suffered damage or harm in the context of the conflict, but who now have an opportunity to overcome and project a future apart from the violence experienced by them or their loved ones.
"Now I can contribute to the country from a professional background and applying values such as honesty, and in this way contribute to there not being as much conflict," said María * one of the young participants.
For her part, Lucía *, another participant pointed out that “I think I can be an example for children younger than me, as in the case of my brother and cousins, to show them that not everything is violence but that there can be a better coexistence, if there is respect”.
On this occasion, the psychosocial group of the Central Territorial Directorate held two meetings in the departments of Tolima, Cundinamarca and Boyacá, in fulfillment of the objectives outlined in the strategy, with a positive response and active participation by adolescents.
"It should be noted that the implementation of this strategy through virtuality has been a success for the Unit, because young people are skilled in the use of digital tools and has allowed us to have connection with participants with those who do not We had been able to do it due to the difficulties of transferring them or our professionals”, assured María José Dangond David, Central territorial director of the Unit.
