57 victims of Neiva receive their administrative compensation on Tuesday
Of the 57 victims of Neiva who will be benefited with administrative compensation this May 21, 40 received psychosocial support and training in topics of priority interest, by the Victims Unit.
On the morning of Monday, May 20, 40 victims of armed conflict gathered at the Regional Victim Assistance Center (Crav) of the city of Neiva to complete the compensation phase in their comprehensive reparation process.
Within the framework of the Sowing strategy of psychosocial cross-sectional approach, attendees shared in a playful day in which they remembered who they are, their life stories and dreams in the near future. Professionals from the Victims' Unit accompanied the process and instructed, in addition, in adequate investment of allied resources, entities or institutions and anti-fraud measures.
"I feel very grateful for the things that are happening in the Victims Unit that has always looked at us well. I wish that what happened to us will never happen again in our lives, that we will continue on, just like we do: meeting good, nice people", said José María Ortega, an older adult who attended the meeting on time.
For her part, Lucrecia Murcia, Huila-Caquetá territorial director of the Victims Unit, said that "the strategy prior to the award of compensation is called Strengthening Capacities or Sowing, with which we seek to bring afloat emotions, lived stages and how victims can face the future through their abilities. It is a new process that is being advanced from the Unit".
As a representative act, the attendees elaborated a tree in which their roots were constituted by their stories, the trunk elaborated with descriptions of what identifies them and the fruits with their values.
The activity culminated with positive appreciation for the fact of sharing with people different from the family and finding spaces for distraction and learning.
