
31 families received compensation, in Vaupés
Families of Mitú (Vaupés) received letters of compensation as part of the integral reparation for the damages suffered in the middle of armed conflict.

The Victims Unit summoned 31 elderly people and persons with disabilities, to receive their letters of compensation for a value of more than 159 million pesos, in order to repair them for the damage caused by armed conflict.
In the department of Vaupés, with 3,614 victims, the Unit has delivered 5,950 million pesos in humanitarian assistance and aid, agricultural productive projects and infrastructure, and to date, has compensated 244 people in force of Law 1448.
Susana Escobar, over 74 years old and victim of displacement, who received her money, said she will invest in restoring her home in poor conditions and thus improve her life quality.
The territorial director of Unit in Meta and Eastern Plains, Carlos Arturo Pardo Alezones, recalled that comprehensive reparation includes measures of restitution, compensation, rehabilitation, satisfaction and guarantees of non-repetition, individually, collectively, materially, morally and symbolically.
