Victims Unit furnished 18 educational institutions in San José de Albán, Nariño
In developing the comprehensive Collective Reparation plans, the entity delivered school furniture that will benefit 1.400 children in that region.
Through Facebook Live of the Mayor's Office, the delivery of school furniture (modular tables, tandem, workstations, swivel chairs, boards with erasable markers, mobile bases, bins, storage furniture and content furniture), was transmitted to 18 institutions educational programs in San José de Albán in Nariño, by the Victims Unit.
The investment exceeds $178 million and benefits approximately 1.400 children in the municipality, both in the municipal seat and in the rural area of this municipality.
Saulo Moreno Cerón, municipal mayor stated: “I want to give a big thank you on behalf of our Albanian community to the director of the Victims Unit, to all the officials, and to all those who have made it possible for this furniture to arrive, which today benefits our students from the municipality of Albán and enhances and promotes education in this difficult time of a pandemic”.
“For us it is satisfactory to see that the state has arrived, the infrastructure, the communication routes today allow the consolidation of businesses, facilitating that the population has a different dynamic, we are making progress in the different measures that require collective reparation, we will continue to comply and we do it today with the delivery of this endowment, it is a job that has not been easy, but it is taking shape little by little”, said William Pinzón Fernández, territorial director of the Unit in Nariño.
Ramiro Jesús Fuentes, rector of Juan Ignacio Ortiz educational institution, thanked the Unit for supporting education. "This will allow us a better education and communication with our children, these elements that are delivered to our institution exceed $ 30 million that from another point are almost impossible to get".
For his part, José Jaime Rosales, regional director of Social Prosperity, highlighted: “We are accompanying this process of collective reparation to the population of this municipality and for us it is a pleasure as a sector of Inclusion and Reconciliation, to be able to fulfill in this municipality and in the department of Nariño, with these concrete facts the government of Colombia fulfills its communities”.
For Jorge Moncayo, teacher at Juan Bolaños Politecnico educational institution, "we must first thank the Victims Unit who today have brought us this great endowment that will serve a lot for the education of our students." "Thank you to all the people who they have taken part in this delivery, because the condition and quality of life of our students will improve in a great way”, he stressed.
The Victims Unit will continue to strengthen educational institutions with the delivery of technological and kitchen furniture.
