In order to generate spaces for integration, reconciliation and coexistence, the Victims Unit delivered kits and sports items to the members of the Collective Reparation subject Antonia Santos, in Cúcuta (Norte de Santander), in the implementation of Entrelazando strategy.

“Living the difference” is one of the components of the strategy, which contributes to the process of rebuilding the social network in Antonia Santos neighborhood. "With this subject of collective reparation, we have been implementing a series of actions and strategies that have allowed us to recognize the effects generated by the armed conflict, contributing to reconciliation processes among the community with spaces for inclusion, transformation of local scenarios that are strengthening coexistence in this area affected by the armed conflict” said the entity's territorial director, Alicia María Rojas Pérez.

The official recognized the participation and empowerment of the "weavers" of the strategy to achieve receptivity among the inhabitants of this sector of the city. “On this occasion we deliver balls, bibs, cones and ladders to the community sports schools in support of their training processes that generate integration and healthy coexistence, so that the boys, girls and young people of this subject of collective reparation have supplies that allow them to open up to sports spaces, framed in integration, tolerance and respect”, explained Rojas.

The delivery of the sports elements was carried out in the traditional, emblematic and today remodeled court known as "Burrito González". There, its inhabitants presented cultural activities of song, music and theater, which reveal the transformation of a community that seeks to be recognized as a peacebuilder and development agent.

"Seven years ago, the recovery fabric began, through processes of living the difference, transformation of scenarios, collective duels, social practices, collective imaginations and today in the Collective Reparation Subject Antonia Santos we can affirm that the social networkc is being built", expressed Arturo Duarte, president of the Antonia Santos community action board and weaver of the strategy.

The territorial director added: "This psychosocial component that we develop from the Victims Unit has allowed the inhabitants of Antonia Santos to break paradigms and stigmas, generating a process of recognition and actions that promote peace building".

The territorial director pointed out that the activity was carried out in compliance with the biosafety protocols established by the Government. The delivery day was accompanied by members of the National Police and the Cúcuta Mayor's Office.
