Uribe Uribe (Santander) entered the enlistment phase as a subject of collective reparation
The Victims Unit has been working with this populated center in the municipality of Lebrija since 2010, with a view to repairing the damage caused to the community in the framework of the armed conflict.
Through a virtual meeting, the first institutional conference of the community of Uribe Uribe populated center, in Lebrija (Santander), took place, a subject that is part of the enlistment phase of the collective reparation route.
The approach was carried out with a large participation of the municipal Administration and entities of the National System of Comprehensive Care and Reparation for Victims (SNARIV), such as the Army, the Police, SENA, the Ombudsman, among others.
The main purpose was to prepare the community, entities of territorial and national order, and other interested institutions, in the knowledge of the reparation process and its implications.
Robinson Bautista Niño, community leader, stated: “We are in the enlistment phase, people are very happy, waiting to be able to generate productive and social projects to benefit the community. We want to carry out the hamlet aqueduct project; We have been hit by violence but thank God we have been overcoming it, it is a motivation to work hand in hand with the entities”.
Uribe Uribe, at an approximate distance of 35 kilometers from Lebrija, has a population of 98 formed families, who wait through the leadership of the promotion committee, made up of members of the same community, to advance in the repair process and in this way to overcome the collective damage caused to the territory, its forms of organization and relationships in the context of armed conflict.
