The Unit heard proposals from the victims for their collective reparation, in Bolívar, Santander
The territorial management of the entity visited the municipality of Bolívar to carry out a community dialogue with the victim population and deliver clothing and footwear kits.
Complying with the health security protocols, the Santander Territorial Unit for Victims, headed by Gonzalo García, arrived in the municipality of Bolívar to develop an agenda with the town of Santa Rosa and its 10 hamlets.
During the day, which was attended by delegates from the Mayor's Office, the ombudsman, leaders of tables for the participation of victims and the promotion committee of the area, the goals developed and to be met were socialized in the collective reparation strategy that is being carried out in the municipality. In this activity, the main requests of the inhabitants of the sector, mostly the victim population, were also heard. Actions that seek to develop the populated center on roads, connectivity and access to education.
"It is very important that the Victims Unit do this type of exercise with the community, to come and listen to us, we are very happy to be able to present our concerns to the entity", said Jorge Ariza, member of the JAC of Santa Rosa and victim of conflict.
During the day, 26 clothing and footwear kits were also delivered to the members of the promotion committee and table for the participation of victims of the Bolívar municipality. "You can see the commitment of the Victims Unit to provide personalized assistance to the most remote parties affected by the conflict in our municipality. This visit was very pleasant," said Omar Castañeda, Bolívar's Secretary of the Government.
At present, the territorial management of the Unit in Santander is visiting each of the municipalities where the entity carries out processes of collective reparation and returns and relocations, to socialize together with the victim community the progress and commitments in each of these plans.
