Subject of collective reparation AMUC, from Pradera, works on its diagnosis of the damage
This peasant organization, located in that Valle del Cauca municipality, was recognized by the State as a subject of collective reparation in October 2018.
The Victims Unit carries out with the subject of collective reparation AMUC, in the municipality of Pradera (Valle del Cauca), the process of joint construction of the damage diagnosis, one of the steps to advance in the elaboration of its Comprehensive Reparation Plan Collective.
As explained by Luz Adriana Toro Vélez, territorial director of the entity in the Valley, AMUC is a peasant organization that was recognized by the State as subject to collective reparation in October 2018, given the joint damage suffered due to the armed conflict.
“These damages suffered are those that are identified and recognized jointly between the organization and the Unit in this phase, in which history and those traces left by the war are reconstructed and from there look ahead and develop a plan that contemplates those aspects affected by the conflict on which we can act to repair”, explained the official.
This process of construction of the diagnosis of damage is done through activities such as the Affectgram (to invite reflection on the current emotional state of the group) and Concentric Circles in a cycle of three meetings, one of which took place this week. The next two are projected for September 3 and 17 in the peasant house located in Lomitas, on the outskirts of Pradera, which is done under biosecurity protocols.
“Starting this process is important because it allows us to have a clear image of why we are here as a subject of collective reparation and what were the consequences of what we experienced with the conflict. This also recognizes the importance of the peasant organization in Pradera”, said Mario Alberto Chauza, AMUC leader.
