Students of El Dorado (Meta) received agricultural endowment

The material was delivered by the World Bank, the Swedish government and the Victims Unit, for a total value in inputs that exceeded $ 60 million.

As a restitution measure within the framework of the Comprehensive Collective Reparation Plan, the student body of Pueblo Sánchez, located in rural El Dorado, received funding from the World Bank, the Swedish government and the Victims Unit.

The material delivered is due to the provision of agricultural inputs for a total value that exceeds $ 60 million and will seek to strengthen the farm of this educational institution.

“This endowment is to recover the peasant identity of the boys, since this school deteriorated for many years because of the armed conflict. This support received was articulated by the State and international cooperators, who will facilitate with this management to train these young people to be passionate about working in the field”, said Fulgencio Alvino, member of the Committee to Promote the collective reparation subject of El Dorado.

In turn, Héctor Gómez, rector of the Pueblo Sánchez school, thanked that with this measure “from the pedagogical part we will be able to effectively carry out the practice of field work, so that these young people know how to cultivate the land and bet on food security in this territory”.

For his part, Carlos Arturo Pardo Alezones, territorial director for Meta and Eastern Plains of the Victims Unit, indicated that “with these actions we are approaching the closure of this collective reparation, they are pending for executing in the coming months the provision of an ICT classroom, support for the construction of a footprint plate of the paths of San Pedro and Caño Amarillo, and 92 water tanks in rural areas will be provided on the line of returns and relocations. After this we can count on the first community collectively repaired in Meta”.

This municipality, which brings together 1,932 people subject to attention by the national government, began the collective reparation route since 2014, receiving over $ 3 billion over this period through different measures.
