Elizabeth Betancourt, senior governor of the indigenous reservation of San Lorenzo, municipality of Riosucio (Caldas), led the meeting with the indigenous authorities and the Victims Unit of the territorial Coffee Region, to form the work table whose main objectives were to arrange dates, redefine budgets and build an agenda of actions to resume the process of collective reparation of this community.

It was an “extraordinary meeting to review the budget of the activities initially raised, to reach agreements and leave all parties happy about what we need to do; The important thing is to be able to continue with this process so that our community receives its rights claim and feels repaired, we are not interested in money, we are interested in this process being well done”, said Governor Betancourt.

"Here we are to reach agreements and the main goal is that we all speak the same language, making progress in the process and reaching the protocol of Comprehensive Collective Reparation Plan (PIRC)", said the territorial director of the Axis Unit Coffee maker, Laura Moreno.

The Unit expects that three activities will be carried out in August, the first one being the community socialization meeting, the second one on the analysis of the precautionary measure and construction methodology to be implemented during the application of prior consultation and formulation of the PIRC and installation of the prior consultation, with the presence of the Ministry of Interior.

The indigenous shelter of San Lorenzo is inhabited by about 13,000 people, several of them victims of armed conflict for acts such as homicide, forced displacement and forced disappearance, and it is divided into three zones: Centro Poblado, San Jerónimo and San José.
