Recetor (Casanare) representative and councilors are trained in Victims Law

The instruction provided seeks to guarantee the non-repetition of events that affect the population that makes up this subject of collective reparation.

The Victims Unit trained in generalities of Law 1448 of 2011 and the reconciliation approach, the representative and the councilors of the Recetor's Collective Reparation Subject, Casanare, within the framework of the non-repetition measure established by the Comprehensive Plan of Collective Reparation (PIRC).

Those attending this meeting learned the main concepts of the Victims Law and ethnic decrees, to apply them in their work. Likewise, they reflected on the scope of the Victims Unit in relation to the guarantee of the right to comprehensive reparation, and identified possible axes of articulation with the entities that make up the National System of Comprehensive Attention and Reparation. to the Victims (SNARIV).

The director of the Unit in Meta and the Eastern Plains, Carlos Pardo Alezones, highlighted the importance of this type of scenario in the restoration of the rights of the victims of the conflict.

“The effective implementation of the guarantees of non-repetition ensure the achievement of peace and the strengthening of democracy, and the reconciliation approach applied by the Unit allows the restoration of trust, democracy, and the rights of the victims and the territory, between the State, the communities and the antagonists” said Pardo.

For his part, the president of the Recetor Council, Ángel Bernal, recognized that the instruction received is of great value and strengthens the response capacity of public servants to the victim population. Finally, the representative Wilder Bernal López was willing to work jointly with the Unit in favor of victims of the municipality.

The Unit has assumed the commitment to close the Recetor collective reparation subject before the end of the first semester of 2021.
