The Unit for Victims accompanied the socialization of the T-530 ruling of 2016, issued in favor of the victim population who live in this indigenous reservation of colonial origin.

The First Civil Court of the Specialized Circuit in Restitution of Lands of Pereira, held a hearing in the municipality of Riosucio , Caldas, in order to socialize the T-530 ruling of 2016, which delimits, titles and, if necessary, compensates the territory to the indigenous community of Cañamomo Lomaprieta.  

Apart from the Civil Court, the National Land Agency, the Land Restitution Unit, the Victims Unit and those linked as the National Council of Negritudes El Guamal ,the Kumba Quimbaya People, the Embera indigenous community participated in the activity. and the owners of the mining titles.  

"The most important thing of this day developed in Riosucio is to give clarity to the community involved in this court ruling, about the actions that are contained in the process, what is what it orders and what is what has been advanced up to now", Judge Beatriz Betancur argued.  

One of the measures that must be advanced by the National Land Agency in the territory, is to prioritize the delimitation and titling of the Reserva de Origen Colonial Cañamono Lomaprieta , clarifying what land belongs to the aforementioned reserve, what does not belong to it and in case of missing land that belonged to it previously, the compensation figure must appply.  

Another of the main objectives of the Court is to resolve inter-ethnic conflicts over the territory existing between the Cañamomo Resguardo Lomaprieta , the National Council of Negritudes The Guamal and the Village kumba quimbaya.  

For Arnobia Andica , governor of the resguardo (reserve), "there are good conclusions, both for the indigenous and non-indigenous communities, that we are now clear about the process of land restitution, the most important thing is to clarify that as a safeguard we do not want to deprive anyone of the lands that they belong to him, as indigenous authorities we are always in favor of promoting coexistence and harmony with each of the families and for this we invite you to enter into a sincere dialogue to be able to live in peace ".  

With regard to the Victims Unit, which acted as a guest at the hearing, the idea is to be able to resume the process of collective reparation that is being carried out with the indigenous community and move forward in order to achieve the vindication of their rights and the concretion of measures that allow them to feel fully repaired.  

"It is very important this type of approach with the community because they allow us to resume the exercise that we had been advancing, in terms of collective reparation we have to say that until now Cañamomo Lomaprieta has not been prioritized, but we will hold a meeting with the indigenous authorities at the head of Arnobia to see how we can continue with the process, "concluded Laura Moreno, territorial director of the Unit in Eje Cafetero.  

This indigenous reservation is located in the heart of the department of Caldas and currently has an area of ​​4,837 hectares in which 25,000 inhabitants live, belonging to 32 communities, 20 of the municipality of Riosucio and 12 of Supía .
