The Unit for Attention and Reparation of Victims notified the ‘Asociación Nacional de Mujeres Campesinas, Negras e Indígenas of Colombia’ (ANMUCIC, by their initials in Spanish) about their registration as collective reparation subject, after two years of discussing about their specific reparations route in 20 departments of the country.

According to María Eugenia Morales, reparations director in the Victims Unit, ‘we have advanced from the diagnostic phase to the one of elaborating the plan. We have notified the national level of the ANMUCIC organization that they have been included as a collective reparations subject.’

Blanca Flor Valencia, from ANMUCIC, was really excited, and said that ‘it is very important for the organization that the work of the ANMUCIC’s women is acknowledged.’
