Representatives from the south of the country receive training in taking statements
This accompaniment of the Victims Unit aims to ensure that registration and care for survivors of conflict are not affected by the pandemic.
The Victims Unit Territorial Directorate Caquetá-Huila, carried out a training with the representatives and office secretaries of these departments, in order to socialize Law 1448 and regarding the taking of statements.
"With this work, the main objective is to improve the levels of care provided by institutions, aimed at safeguarding the rights of survivors of armed conflict in the south of the country and that registration is not affected, taking into account the limitations of the confinement to which it led us the pandemic generated by COVID-19”, indicated the territorial director of the Unit, Yhina Paola Lombana López.
This virtual training was aimed at 37 municipalities in Huila and 16 in Caquetá “, and allowed the representatives of the Public Ministry to acquire tools for taking individual and mass declarations, as well as clarify doubts regarding the online declaration mechanism that It has been implemented quite a bit after preventive isolation", Lombana said.
The annual training for legal entities is of paramount importance to fully comply with the victim registration policies of the Unit in the national territory, since it allows preparing officials for any event that may occur in a municipality that violates the population.
