The Unit strengthens the capacities of the representatives in Valle
The entity carried out a training session on the participation protocol, the Victims Law and the role of legal entities as technical secretariats in these spaces.
The territorial Valle del Cauca of the Unit for Victims, carried out this Monday a special training day with the representatives of its 42 municipalities, focused on strengthening their knowledge regarding the participation of victims of armed conflict.
"This is a space of great importance, since the legal entities exercise the role of technical secretariats of the municipal tables for the participation of victims, which are the stage par excellence for the participation of this population, so a well-founded training will result in these spaces can meet their objective”, said the territorial director of the Unit in the department, Luz Adriana Toro.
The orientation was carried out in a virtual way with topics such as the legal framework for the participation of victims in accordance with Law 1448 of 2011, and the other resolutions that support the participation process, as well as its actors and functions.
Likewise, the process of election and operation of the tables for the effective participation of victims and their closure were deepened.
The victim tables are formed from a process of electoral participation and their term in each municipality is two years. In each table the different facts of victimization are reflected, as well as the different communities by focus (ethnic and gender) and seek to exercise political influence in favor.
