Unit ratified support for the effective participation of victims before the Executive Committee of the National Board
This was confirmed by Yany Zambrano, deputy director of Participation of the entity, after recalling that his work is aimed at encouraging, accompanying and motivating the victims in all spaces of participation.
The Victims Unit reaffirmed its support for all the country's victims, through the members of the Executive Committee of the National Table for Effective Participation, meeting in Bogotá and, according to Yany Zambrano, Deputy Director of Participation, the entity “is guiding all their perceptions to encourage and accompany them in these important spaces for participation”.
Zambrano reminded the members of the Executive Committee, in their work leading up to the National Table for the Effective Participation of Victims, that it is "available to be able to supply all its processes", after highlighting the importance of the Inter-institutional Management Directorate with the participation.
"We still need that sponsorship, that coordination that we cannot escape from this work they have done", he noted.
In the second day of work of the Executive Committee, housing, returns and relocations and territorial certifications were the main topics of the work of members of the referred Executive Committee, meeting at the headquarters of the Unit and some, virtually connected.
Sergio Muñoz, from the Ministry of Housing, presented before the delegates of the Executive Committee, various programs to acquire a house, to which all victims can apply depending on their possibilities and the requirements that they request.
In this context, the official explained in detail the strategies "Homeowners' seedbed", "My house now" and "A dignified house, decent housing", after indicating that the Ministry of Housing examines how it can reach more victims, with more subsidies and more households in difficulty to have access to their own home.
On the issue of housing, Orlando Burgos, coordinator of the Executive Committee of the National Board, warned that in Colombia "there is no construction of a clear Public Policy for the victims and it is not clear where they are in this process". According to Burgos, you have to work to see concrete help in that regard.
Another topic that was analyzed by the members of the Executive Committee of the National Table for Effective Participation, was related to Returns and Relocations, on which issues such as its protocol, what accompaniment means in these processes; what are the individual, community and emergency routes, and what victims are those who have the right to access returns and relocations, among other issues.
Regarding the process of territorial certifications, Carmenza Carolina Cotes, coordinator of the Subdirectorate Nation Territory, explained to the Executive Committee, what will be the criteria that were built with the victims and that will be measured for the 2020 period. She also said that during the month in courses, strengthening exercises will be carried out with the territorial entities on what the rules of the game will be in terms of certification criteria from 2021 to 2023.
