Emphasis was placed on training in taking statements in physical and online, guidance on advances in humanitarian assistance, as well as the prioritization criteria for situations of manifest emergency or extreme vulnerability due to age, disease or disability that are being applied for payment of administrative compensation.

The Victims Unit trained 13 people´s defender´s office and liaisons of municipalities of Guaviare and south of Meta, in two working days that took place at the facilities of the Airport Hotel in San José del Guaviare.

“The municipal officials support us in the territory to exercise the functions of the Public Ministry, ensuring compliance with laws that benefit, among other communities, the victims of armed conflict. For this reason, it is vitally important for the entity to keep them updated on technical issues that have to do with daily actions for comprehensive care and repair”, said Carlos Pardo Alezones, territorial director of the Unit in Meta and Eastern Plains.

Among the most important topics of the training were the taking of statements in physical and online, guidance on advances in humanitarian assistance, as well as the criteria for prioritization by situation of manifest emergency or extreme vulnerability by age, disease or disability that They are being applied for the payment of administrative compensation.

“Taking into account that between August and November 2019 the election process of the municipal, district, departmental and national victims participation tables will be carried out, it is expected to have the support of people´s defender´s office  and the Ombudsman's Office to ensure that in these processes in accordance with the existing Protocol”, concluded the official.
