In Antioquia prepare proposals for Development Plan
The Departmental Bureau of Victims advances sessions to present advocacy proposals in the National Development Plan. The director of the Unit in the department, Wilson Córdoba, has been present.
For three days, the members of the Departmental Bureau of Antioquia held the fifth session in the municipality of Necoclí (Antioquia) in order to develop their work plan to present proposals for political advocacy for the Development Plan of the term 2019 - 2022.
So far this year and at the request of these representatives, the sessions have been developed in a decentralized manner with the objective of interacting in each of the subregions with the members of the municipal committees, allowing the strengthening and empowerment of these representatives, according to noted Menderson Mosquera, coordinator of the Departmental Bureau.
Wilson Córdoba Mena, director of Victims Unit in Antioquia, attended the session of the Mesa, who interacted directly with the leaders of the department. "The victims of armed conflict should know and understand that there is a route of assistance and attention. Just as at some point they had to live a victimizing fact, they must also resume their life projects and continue with their dreams through the productive units, "he said.
The official also said that there are very big challenges in which he assumes this new Territorial Directorate, so he said that his interest is "to find mechanisms so that all victims are entrepreneurs, have dreams and do not depend on humanitarian aid."
The director also referred to the role of the Victims Unit as an articulator of the 53 institutions of the National System of Attention and Reparation to Victims (Snariv), so that they can fulfill their functions according to their competences in education, health, housing, employment and restoration of rights issues.
The two previous sessions of the table were held in Jardín, a municipality in southwestern Antioquia, and Yolombó, in the northeast. The next one will be in Carmen de Viboral, east of the department, on November 13, 14 and 15.
