The Unit held a socioeconomic sustainability table with two municipalities in the South of Bolívar
These spaces are held after community dialogues (community approaches) and in this case they were carried out with the municipalities of Arenal and Cantagallo.
In the last few days, the Victims Unit carried out the tables of socioeconomic sustainability with two municipalities in the South of Bolívar: Arenal and Cantagallo with four returned and relocated communities each.
“The socio-economic sustainability tables are spaces to which we bring the products of the community dialogues (community approaches) and we sit down to agree with the municipal administrations, first of all, and with the offer of the local SNARIV, the actions that they are going to implement in order to mitigate those needs that we identify in the community dialogues”, explained Amparo Chicué Cristancho, Magdalena Medio territorial director of the Victims Unit.
“There we establish a time for the implementation of the actions, the person responsible, the cost and if any of these actions needs to be modified or if the municipality lacks the resources and is then justified with actions that we can contribute from the Victims Unit, such as the case of the Special Family Support Schemes and the Special Community Support Schemes”, added the official.
The socioeconomic sustainability tables were also held in municipalities that updated their return and relocation plan and that are under the jurisdiction of Magdalena Medio of the Victims Unit territorial area, such as Landázuri, Barrancabermeja, Puerto Wilches and Sabana de Torres (Santander) San Pablo, Morales, Norosí, Simití, Santa Rosa del Sur and Río Viejo (Bolívar), Yondó and Puerto Berrío (Antioquia).
“There were 84 communities from those last municipalities that held sustainability tables and the new plans are the four from Arenal and the four from Cantagallo, for a total of 92 communities. All of the above is framed in Resolution 3320 of 2019, which is the new protocol for the construction of non-ethnic return and relocation plans”, concluded the director of the Unit in Magdalena Medio.
