Delivery of indemnity letters continues in Nariño

In response to the commitment to the victims located in the PDET municipalities and in a joint effort with the Mayor's Office of Taminango, the Victims Unit delivered compensation administrative in this Nariño municipality.

This Friday, in the municipality of Taminango, two days of delivery of administrative compensation were held, one in El Remolino rural district, for the victims of the PDET Policarpa, Leiva, El Rosario and Cumbitara municipalities, and another in the municipal seat, to the town of Taminango.

A total of 50 letters were delivered on the day that had all the biosecurity measures and more than 500 million disposed of from the Victims Unit for the population victim of armed conflict.

* Marcelino Guerrero, an adult over 82 years of age thanked the Victims Unit for delivering the compensation: "I am very happy to receive this money that I plan to invest in a plot of land that they give me so that we can handle with my family in the agriculture. It is a blessing, this money for everyone and especially now that everything is expensive".

On this day, counseling was provided to the victims through the accompaniment program for the adequate investment of resources, with which information is provided on the importance of saving, quality of life and the main investment approaches, among others.

The territorial director of the Unit in Nariño, William Pinzón Fernández, assured that “we are here to reiterate our commitment to you, the victims, who are the reason for our entity's existence, it is because of you that every day we seek and work in favor of its repair”.

For his part, Carlos Andrés Tenorio, Taminango Municipal Ombudsman, assured that “we are very happy that this step is being taken because it is a way of recognizing the suffering and effort that the victims of this conflict zone have made and have had to endure, they will always be welcome to this municipality, Taminango welcomes them with great affection”.

The Unit for Victims will continue to carry out different delivery days in Pasto and municipalities on the Pacific Coast of Nariño with the proper biosecurity protocol.
