145 of compensation letters are delivered in Santander
The Victims Unit recognized the measure of reparation to those affected by the conflict in Bucaramanga, Floridablanca, Piedecuesta and Girón, with an investment that exceeded 1.100 million pesos.
The Victims Unit in the department of Santander continues with the process of notifying and delivering the administrative compensation measure to the people who suffered damages due to the armed conflict. On this occasion, it delivered 145 letters of compensation for more than $1.100 million in the municipalities of Bucaramanga, Floridablanca, Piedecuesta and Girón.
The victims who received payment for the reparation measure were satisfied with the Unit's commitment in its work to compensate economically and psychosocially all Colombians affected by the armed conflict in the country.
This is what Donaldo García, a victim who lives in Girón, said: “I thank the Victims Unit for paying my compensation. I had been waiting for this moment for a long time to be able to start a micro-business".
The territorial director of the Victims Unit in Santander, Gonzalo García, ratified that the commitment to repair the victims in the department continues economically, psychologically and socially. "We not only comply with the victims by paying their compensation, but we also contribute to this having a positive impact on the communities and the economy of Santander", he said.
The entity will continue in the process of delivering letters of compensation in the other municipalities of Santander. To this end, the territorial management announced that it will allocate $ 1.145 million in personal notifications, bank processes and trust commissions.
