Victims of Vichada received almost $ 100 million in compensation in August
From January to date, the Unit's investment exceeds $560 million to repair with the administrative compensation measure to those affected by the conflict in this department.
The Victims Unit complied with the administrative compensation payments, scheduled in August, to the victims of armed conflict in Vichada. This was revealed in the entity's periodic report, which shows that last month the entity made 18 transfers for a total value of more than 96 million pesos.
The beneficiaries of this measure are victims of acts such as sexual violence (1), forced disappearance (1), forced displacement (10), homicide (2), personal and psychological injuries with permanent disability (1), illegal recruitment (1) and kidnapping (2).
The records also indicate that the general compensation route was reactivated, with four beneficiaries.
The director of the Unit in Meta and Llanos Orientales, Carlos Pardo Alezones, highlighted that the victims have received advice on the appropriate investment of resources, in order to use the compensation money in aspects that contribute to improving their quality of life, such as housing, education and business performance.
Pardo also recalled that all the procedures of the Unit are free and to access them the victims do not need intermediaries.
According to the general consolidated statement, between January and August 2020, the entity delivered more than $ 560 million to the victims of Vichada, for administrative compensation.
