Yondó victim community received property that will become the House of Historical Memory
The town located in Magdalena Medio Antioqueño is one of the PDET municipalities and the project is part of the initiatives contemplated in Pillar Eight (reconciliation, coexistence and peacebuilding) of these programs.
The Mayor's Office of Yondó (Antioquia) handed over to the victim community in a formal manner, a property that will henceforth be the House of Historical Memory of that town belonging to the Magdalena Medio region.

For his part, Amparo Chicué Cristancho, Magdalena Medio territorial director of the Victims Unit, said that “the Yondó Historical Memory House project has its origin in a series of wills of civil society.” “There are several actions of memory as monuments and murals that made the municipal table of victims and civil and community organizations, and in some townships; There are also immaterial elements such as plays; and all these activities will be articulated in a single strategy of historical memory”, explained the official.
“With the sum of wills, which also includes the MAPP OEA, the Victims Unit, the Historical Memory Center and the Yondó Victims Office, it was determined that within the framework of the PAT and the strengthening of the organizations, the Mayor's Office it could give a space or property so that the House of Historical Memory could function there”, he added.
Finally, Amparo Chicué indicated that it is necessary to highlight that Yondó is one of the PDET municipalities (included in the Development Programs with a Territorial Approach) and this project is part of the initiatives contemplated in Pillar eight of these programs (reconciliation, coexistence and peace building).
