Victims unit reiterates its commitment for assistance and humanitarian aid for the inhabitants of Chocó

The Director General (e) of the Victims Unit assists the National Subcommittee on Prevention and Protection and Guarantees of Non-Repetition led by the Interior Ministry.

In the session of the National Subcommittee on Prevention, Protection and Guarantees of Non-Repetition, within the framework of the National Government's Timely Action Plan, local institutions and leaders were convened, in order to expose the public order situation experienced by the residents of the municipalities of Chocó that have been affected and thus adopt the necessary measures to consolidate joint actions for the protection of the inhabitants of this area of ​​the country.

The session was attended, in addition to representatives of entities such as the Ministry of National Security, the Attorney General's Office, the General Procuratory, the Ombudsman's Office, the Victims Unit, among others; 27 mayors of the 30 municipalities of the department, at the invitation of the interior minister, Nancy Patricia Gutiérrez, who knew from the voice of the social leaders the situation they are living, and indicated that the protection of the leaders must be a joint work with the New leaders.

The general director (e) of the Victims Unit, Vladimir Martin, participated in the meeting and expressed the unit's commitment to the victims of these municipalities in terms of support and humanitarian assistance in the face of the displacements and confinements suffer today Several areas of the department. “The Unit as coordinators of SNARIV will be very attentive for the materialization of the commitments for the victims”, said the director general (e).
