They will finance productive ventures in prioritized municipalities of Chocó
The call is addressed to peasant families victims of armed conflict.
The Ministry of Agriculture opened a call to co-finance business plans for productive ventures, in municipalities included within the Development Plans with a Territorial Approach PDET. Bojayá, Condoto and Medio Atrato are the towns of Chocó that will be initially worked on, as they have well-established peasant associations.
Each prioritized municipality will open 13 places to apply for initiatives; The business ideas to be financed must be within the field of tourism, crafts, smart practices with the environment, agricultural projects, among others. The duration of project will be 15 months between formulation, evaluation and execution, and it has already been socialized with the mayors and their respective government secretaries.
"These initiatives show the commitment of the Government and the Victims Unit to comply with the thousands of victims of armed conflict in the Department in terms of comprehensive reparation, so that they recover not only their forms of work in the territories, but also the opening of other businesses that are a unique opportunity taking into account the social and regional transformation that this may have”, said Vanessa Palacios, territorial director of the Unit in Chocó.
Those who apply must be certified before the Victims Unit, as a mandatory requirement to access this entrepreneurship program.
