Duque Government will deliver PDET 888 work in Caldono, Cauca

The work is an initiative of the Caldono community, within the Development Programs with a Territorial Focus. The National Federation of Coffee Growers was the operator of the remodeling of the new health center that will benefit 1,207 families in the area.

The government of President Iván Duque, at the head of the Presidential Council for Stabilization and Consolidation and the Territorial Renewal Agency (ART) will deliver this Thursday, June 11, 2020, the PDET 888 work for the improvement of the health center of the Siberia rural district, of the municipality of Caldono, in the department of Cauca.

This work was carried out through the National Federation of Coffee Growers and with the start-up of this health infrastructure, 1,207 families that live in this area affected by violence benefit.

As part of the virtual activity, an agreement of understanding will be signed between the National Federation of Coffee Growers and seven government entities in charge of stabilizing the territories most affected by violence and poverty within the framework of President Duque's Peace with Legality policy.

The agreement of understanding seeks to contribute to the articulation of wills oriented to the planning, formulation and implementation of plans, programs and productive, social and infrastructure projects in the coffee zones of influence.

The delivery will be broadcast live on the Facebook / renovacionterritoriocol platform, tomorrow, Thursday, June 11 at 11:00 am, and will include the participation of the Presidential Counselor for Stabilization, Emilio Archila; the director of the Territorial Renewal Agency (ART), Juan Carlos Zambrano; the Governor of Cauca, Helías Larrahondo; the mayor of Caldono, José Vicente Otero; and the general manager of the National Federation of Coffee Growers, Roberto Vélez Vallejo.

Ramón Rodríguez, director of the Victims Unit, will also participate in the act, as one of the entities that work with targeted actions in the 170 PDET municipalities of the country.
