Compensation for about $ 187 million delivered by the Unit in San Pablo (Bolívar)
The visit of the territorial director of the entity in Magdalena Medio south of Bolívar will continue in the municipality of Santa Rosa del Sur, where she will deliver compensation and Special Community Support Schemes.
In the municipality of San Pablo (Bolívar), 16 letters of compensation were delivered, totaling about 187 million pesos, by the Magdalena Medio Territorial Directorate of the Victims Unit.
According to Amparo Chicué Cristancho, director of the Victims Unit in Magdalena Medio, "we made the delivery by implementing all the biosecurity protocols due to the health emergency".
During the day, “they also provided support and advice for the adequate investment of resources, inviting people so that, with the money they receive for compensation, they invest in their productive projects, acquisition or improvement of housing, or in education; Likewise, they were made aware of the anti-fraud campaign ‘Do not tell stories’, so that they are not scammed by revivals and they were reminded that all procedures before the entity are free”, added the official.
Similarly, during her visit to that municipality, Amparo Chicué met with the municipal mayor, Ómar Bohórquez Rojas, in order to discuss the issue of reopening the point of care for victims. "The idea of the mayor is to reopen the point of care in the first days of December under all biosafety protocols", he said.
Finally, the territorial director of the Unit held a meeting with officials from the Regional Ombudsman's Office and the Provincial Prosecutor's Office on the protocol for the validation of the security principle in relation to the issue of returns and relocations.
Amparo Chicué's visit to the South of Bolívar will continue in the municipality of Santa Rosa del Sur, where she will deliver compensation and Special Community Accompaniment Schemes.
