Business units for 91 homes victims of Chaparral
In this town in the south of Tolima, the Victims Unit contributed $1.038 million within the strategy of delivering Special Family Support Schemes.
The Victims Unit, through the Central Territorial Directorate, delivered business units to 91 families prioritized in the Returns and Relocations plan led by the entity, and as part of the initiatives implemented in the development of the peace policy with the legality of the National government that is promoted for municipalities with Development Programs with a Territorial Approach (PDET).
The Central Territorial Director of the Unit, María José Dangond, who was present at the handover activity, highlighted the entity's work in raising the profile and selecting the families. "Faced with the way in which hers managed to precisely target the beneficiaries, after learning about their initiatives and the way in which they could take advantage of these fundamental aid for their economic future", she pointed out.
The investment was 1.038 million pesos represented in endowments of productive projects for stores, cafeterias, clothing, fast food, ice cream parlors, miscellaneous, restaurants and beauty salons; businesses that will be a catalyst for the local economy and a boost on the path to socioeconomic stabilization of the beneficiaries.
Otilia Murillo, received a business unit consisting of a stand for the sale of fast food, so she did not hesitate to state that “this is a possibility of moving forward to give my children a better future and for that I want to thank the Government and the Victims Unit”.
These family schemes are part of a targeting analysis strategy for 34 municipalities throughout the national territory that have a significant amount of victim population and allow single or mixed care. The income and work components of the population affected by the conflict as indicated in regulatory decree 1084 of Law 1448.
