Acacías Victims Association was endowed with furniture
The items delivered by the Victim Unit amounted to more than seven million pesos, to strengthen them organizationally.
Through the Special Community Support Schemes within the Return and Relocation Plan, the Victims Unit delivered a furniture endowment to Flor de Maná Association, made up of 59 families who are victims of forced displacement and currently reside in the municipality of Acacías, Meta.
This provision of filing cabinets, desks, plastic chairs, tables, tabletop and fans, for a value that exceeds seven million pesos, are part of the strengthening that the entity carries out to the victims' organizations, in order that these families are restored the rights that were lost due to the armed conflict.
The accompaniment carried out by the Unit to the returned, relocated or locally integrated victim population within the comprehensive route of care, assistance and reparation for the victims of forced displacement, allows the materialization of actions aimed at overcoming their situation of vulnerability and the reconstruction of life projects.
The director of the Victims Unit in Meta and Llanos Orientales, Carlos Pardo Alezones, emphasized that these elements delivered by the entity will be used by the Association to "carry out its work actions, in what has to do with representation of victims of Acacías”.
For his part, Luis Antonio Mojica, member and representative of Flor de Maná Association, thanked them for the endowment and stressed that “for us it is of great importance since it helps us a lot to carry out our work; we have had to prepare ourselves in one way or another to be able to claim our rights”.
In the coming days the Victims Unit plans to make a new delivery consisting of computer and electronic equipment that will improve the performance of this Association.
