The Victims Unit deliver two farms as a loan for productive projects of victims, in Heliconia

The properties, currently administered by the Victims Reparation Fund in the western municipality of Antioquia and which are passed on to the Mayor's Office, belonged to Justice and Paz, including alias Don Berna.

The Victims Reparation Fund (FRV) made an approach with the Mayor's Office of Heliconia, in Antioquia, in order to deliver two rural properties managed by the entity in this region, in order to develop a productive project in which the victims will participate.

The director of the Victims Unit, Ramón Rodríguez, who accompanied the delivery of the goods to the municipal Administration, stated that “these are properties with a restorative vocation that will allow the generation of income through coffee, corn and other projects. productive that also represent the self-sufficiency of the victim families in Heliconia”.

Miguel Avendaño, coordinator of the Fund for the Reparation of Victims, and the territorial director of the Unit in Antioquia, Wilson Córdoba; and the mayor of Heliconia, Jhon Fredy Ortiz.

The properties, currently administered by the Victims Reparation Fund in the western Antioquia municipality, belonged to Justice and Peace postulates, including Diego Murillo, alias Don Berna.

Context

Since its creation through Law 1448, the Victims Unit has administered the Victims Reparation Fund (FRV) since January 1, 2012. This fund, instituted by means of article 54 of Law 975 of 2005, receives, manages and monetizes the goods and resources that illegally organized and armed people or groups give up in any way, likewise, for resources from the national budget, for donations in money or in kind, national or foreign, and by the sources of financing referred to in article 177 of Law 1448 of 2011, also having the function of liquidating and paying the sentences handed down in the Justice and Peace processes.
