The territorial director of the Victims Unit in Magdalena Medio, Amparo Chicué Cristancho, has been making work visits to four of the ten points of care she is in charge of, in order to improve the processes of productivity and care for survivors of armed conflict in this region of the country.

After making an analysis of the productivity of these places where the attention of victims is concentrated, it was decided to hold different meetings in the company of the Provincial Attorney of Barrancabermeja, in the municipalities of Puerto Wilches, San Pablo, Simití and Santa Rosa del Sur.

In each of these four municipalities, it was possible to gather in different spaces the Mayor's Office, Personnel, Participation tables and also officials of the Outsorcing operator, to clarify the necessary improvements and thus optimize the attention.

"What we are looking for with this work is to measure the pulse and know what components were affecting, in some way, the attention of the victims, then in each space it is possible to review and articulate an improvement plan so that we cannot only stabilize productivity, but that aspect can also be uploaded”, said Amparo Chicue Cristancho, territorial director of the Victims Unit  in Magdalena Medio.

Within what could be evidenced in these work visits, part of the inconvenience in productivity is due to the fact that these municipalities do not have the connectivity required by the applications managed by the entity, so the intermittency in speed of the internet, make it impossible for optimal management of officials.

This limitation, it is added that there is a difficulty with the energy service, because there are days when, in these municipalities of the South of Bolivar, it is suspended for up to eight hours, making attention difficult.

In the meetings with the leaders of each of these territorial entities, it was possible to commit in a very significant way, especially to the mayors of municipalities of Simití and Santa Rosa del Sur who could supply power plants in order not to affect the attention due to the suspension of the service.

A management commitment was achieved before the Ministry of Technologies and Information, to improve the internet service, with a bandwidth according to the technological tools used in the service points.

As for the meetings held by the territorial director with the members of the Municipal Participation Tables, it was possible to publicize how they are working, so that they are multipliers of what is done there and so it can be guaranteed that more people attend the points of attention to carry out their efforts, with respect to the integral repair of each one of them.

A meeting was also held with the officials of  Barrancabermeja service point, in order to implement strategies in care to achieve greater coverage and improve productivity in these spaces.
