More than 400 people resolved their concerns in a face-to-face session in Alto Putumayo

Those attending the Olympic Village in the municipality of Sibundoy thanked the Victims Unit for handling their procedures and requests.

In a day that lasted two days and ended this Friday, the Victims Unit served the victim population of Alto Putumayo, of the municipalities of Sibundoy, San Francisco, Colón and Santiago, through the prior scheduling strategy so as not to generate agglomerations and complying with all biosafety protocols.

Among the procedures dealt with are information on new registration, notification of administrative acts, requests for humanitarian assistance, receipt of documentation, data update and individual repair procedures, among others.

"We had the opportunity to resolve their concerns during these two days in which the most frequent request that was attended was information on the administrative compensation process, among other queries that were resolved by the five counselors who accompanied the day", highlighted the territorial director Germán Narváez.

Likewise, the Unit carried out the articulation with the municipal mayor of Sibundoy that contributed in the day with the logistics and dissemination of the information through peripherals and radio spots for the prior scheduling of the people to the day, a strategy that was successful for prevent the spread of COVID-19 infections, serving groups of maximum 25 people every hour.

Nancy Esperanza Guerrero, attending the conference, expressed her gratitude because she needed to deliver the medical history of her son who has a 70% disability and with this link him to the prioritized route for the delivery of his compensation. "They scanned my documents and received all the necessary papers, we hope they continue doing these days that they arrive at a good time to attend us", said the woman.

For his part, Mr. Manuel Mesías assured that he was issued the certificate declaring the status of victims to send to his son who is out of the country. "We had been needing this document for days and here during this day we were able to manage it," he said.

For the attention to the public, the differential approach was considered, prioritizing the elderly to attend to their requests.

Finally, in a parallel activity to the day of attention, the territorial director Germán Narváez, delivered to 14 people from Valle del Sibundoy his letter of compensation with resources close to 180 million pesos.
