Cauca already has face-to-face assistance at victim service points
In coordination with municipal mayors, the Cauca Territorial of the Victims Unit coordinated the reopening of six service points, to return to provide face-to-face services to the population victim of armed conflict, under biosecurity protocols established by the national government.
With the aim of continuing to provide face-to-face assistance in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Cauca territorial unit of the Victims Unit, in coordination with the mayors of six municipalities in the department, reopened physical spaces to care for affected people for the armed conflict.
In this new scenario, the victims of the municipalities of Mercaderes, Patía, López de Micay, Timbiquí, Guapi and Santander de Quilichao are already treated in person under all biosafety protocols, with care methodologies that vary according to the dynamics of each territory.
Mauricio Pérez Meneses, director (e) of Cauca Territorial of the Victims Unit for Victims, affirmed that it is essential for the entity to continue with the integral reparation processes, especially by providing a safe space for visitors, for that reason help was obtained from international cooperators who donated biosecurity elements for these spaces, allowing compliance with all established regulations.
The official reported that for the month of December a new point of attention will be opened in the municipality of Inzá, seeking to reach more Cauca territories that need to provide comprehensive assistance to people affected by the conflict.
