In order to provide assistance to families who are victims of conflict in municipalities of Magdalena Medio, the Victims Unit allocated resources to bring a total of 149 food kits.

Deliveries were made in this way:

On Monday, August 3, kits were delivered in Cimitarra (20) and Landázuri (47), municipalities of Santander, and in Puerto Berrío, Antioquia, 15 kits.

On Wednesday, August 5, they were delivered in Yondó, Antioquia, (18), Puerto Wilches (15) and Sabana de Torres (15) municipalities of Santander, and in San Alberto, Cesar, (19), for a total of 149 food packages delivered.

The deliveries were made in compliance with all biosafety protocols to avoid the spread of COVID-19 and the beneficiaries are people who are included in the Single Registry of Victims, and who have not received humanitarian attention, nor have been benefited in the different State programs.

For Amparo Chicué Cristancho, Magdalena Medio territorial director of the Victims Unit, “with these deliveries we continue to serve the victims of our region who are experiencing difficulties due to the health emergency. For the next few weeks we plan to deliver new food kits for victims of San Pablo, Santa Rosa del Sur, Morales, Norosí, Cantagallo, Simití and Arenal, municipalities in southern Bolívar”.

Among other products, the kits provided by the Unit contain rice, salt, chocolate, tuna, pasta, oil, flour and brown sugar.
