During this year, despite the isolation conditions due to Covid-19, in Córdoba the entity assists and attends to requests for military definition certification.

That is why the Victims Unit benefited 38 young people by delivering this document in the municipality of Montería, through joint efforts with the department's military districts to cover its 30 municipalities.

This document, which accredits the military situation as a second-class reservist to young people who reach the age of majority, it is free and to obtain it it is essential that it is registered in the Sole Registry of Victims.

"It is a coordinated effort with the National Army and the Montería Mayor's Office for the benefit of the population victim of the armed conflict, so that they can access the definition of their military situation," said Mareila Burgos, territorial director of the Unit in Córdoba.

For his part, Kevin Escobar, beneficiary victim stated that “I am very happy to receive this certificate from the military passbook, since because I did not have it, I lost job opportunities; several times I tried to do the process and the door had not been opened. Today I can say that it is one more step to continue with my work, I thank the management of the Victims Unit and the other entities for this support”.

Interested youth must meet the following requirements:

  1. The citizen must enter the website www.libretamilitar.mil.co and carry out his registration process with his identity document for his application to be successful.
