Up to a 20% discount on the value of tuition, victims of violence who want to access technological educational programs and professional careers at UNAD will have for the second semester of 2020.

In order to publicize the institutional offer in higher education, the economic benefits, enrollment times, and other aspects that will benefit the victims of armed conflict, the Victims Unit will participate in the virtual fair called by the University National Open and Distance (UNAD).

The director of the Victims Unit in Norte de Santander and Arauca, Alicia María Rojas Pérez, explained that the entity has a current discount agreement signed with UNAD, from which the university assumes 10% of the value of the enrollment in any of its programs to the victims of armed conflict, registered in the Single Registry of Victims (RUV). In addition to this, people affected by violence have an additional discount of 10% per electoral certificate in the registration fee.

"This process is an inter-institutional articulation that provides tools for access and inclusion of our victims to the higher education system in order to improve their living conditions. In these times of pandemic and virtuality, together with UNAD, we seek to generate economic relief so that our population affected by the armed conflict continues to advance in their professional and intellectual training with virtual channels offered by this higher education institution in times of isolation mandatory preventive and with quality standards in their learning process", said the official.

The director of the UNAD headquarters in Cúcuta, Ernesto Alejandro Cote Sánchez, extended the invitation to participate this Saturday, July 18 from 8 in the morning: “This virtual educational fair will seek to socialize professional programs, specializations and master's degrees wich our university has in its wide academic offer, the schools of knowledge, the benefits to which they are entitled and to which the members of the subjects of reparation of victims can access with additional discounts. We will also be accompanied by financial advisers specialized in educational credits, it will be a day of great benefit”.

The information will be disclosed through the official channels of the Victims Unit and with the departmental and municipal participation tables.
