Victims Unit advances community support works in the South of Bolívar
In the municipalities of Río Viejo and Norosí, officials from the Victims' Unit, the Procurator's Office and the territorial entities managed to carry out actions that allow progress in the implementation of public policy of victims, thus contributing to the integral reparation of survivors of conflict in this area of the country.
For two days, officials from the Territorial Directorate of the Victims Unit in Magdalena Medio, in company of the Delegate Attorney's office to follow up on the final agreement and territorial entities, were carrying out review and verification actions for the implementation of Special Schemes for Accompaniment to projects directed for the survivors in the municipalities of Norosí and Río Viejo, Bolívar.
The first part was developed in the municipality of Río Viejo, where monitoring and verification of the implementation of the Special Scheme for Community Accompaniment (EEAC) called "Endowment and Improvement of the Infrastructure of the school of Morrocontento, District of Hatillo, municipality of Río Viejo", work that will benefit 25 families in this village.
During this visit, an improvement plan was made, due to the fact that some delays were evidenced by the Municipal Administration in the time of completion of works, for which the territorial entity undertook to make the delivery of this work, at maximum one month.
In addition to these actions framed in the follow-up of EEAC, the participation of the Subcommittee on Prevention and Protection in this same municipality was also achieved by the professional in the area of Prevention of Victimizing Facts, providing accompaniment and technical assistance in updating the contingency plan for the delivery of immediate humanitarian help and assistance.
For its part, the actions carried out in the municipality of Norosí, refer to the follow-up to the implementation of Special Community Outreach Scheme (EEAC) under the name of "Construction of rigid pavement in Altos del Carmen neighborhood of the municipality of Norosí Bolívar ", achieving in this way the closing, with the delivery of work.
In this case, the project will benefit 350 returned families of the municipality that use this main road that connects to the Child Development Center (CDI) of the Colombian Family Welfare Institute (ICBF) and the local Hospital.
Amparo Chicue Cristancho, Territorial Director of the Victims Unit in Magdalena Medio, said that "it is important that as coordinators of SNARIV, we can fulfill these tasks that allow us to advance in the implementation of the prevention and humanitarian assistance policy in the immediacy, as well as advancing comprehensive reparation actions, achieving the guarantee of rights to families in each of the needs identified in the return and relocation plans".
