Victim students received guidance to access university scholarships
Within the framework of the Week for Social Inclusion, which is part of the National Development Plan Pact for Equity, the Victims Unit held an educational day in Valledupar.
With the objective of guiding eleventh-grade students of public schools in Valledupar, who have the status of victim, the Unit socialized the offer of universities that offer scholarships for this population.
"On this Day we want to effectively guide young victims of conflict who wish to pursue a superior career, for this we have the support of Icetex. The Governorate of Cesar, SENA and technical and technological institutions that can be accessed because of their differential approach and with those we hope to meet again with their life project", said Víctor Mosquera, Territorial director of the Victims Unit Cesar-La Guajira.
In the activity, in which more than 300 students from all the public institutions of the city participated, the youth expressed their gratitude to know, first hand, the educational offer regarding scholarships.
"Many times, our parents do not have how to pay for our studies in a university, as victims we feel excluded, today, thanks to the Victims Unit, we know the universities that offer scholarships that can help us fulfill our dream of being professionals and serve the society", said Yoenis Espino, one of the students present at the conference.
