
Institutional Week will take place in Miraflores, Guaviare with the involvement of the Victims Unit
In the first version of this event, the Transitional Justice Committee, the Municipal Council of Peace, Reconciliation and Coexistence, the Municipal Council of Social Policy (COMPOS), the Board of Children and Adolescents, as well as different participation scenarios for discuss issues on public policy of victims of armed conflict.

The Victims Unit will be accompanying the institutional week scheduled by the mayor of Miraflores, Guaviare, from April 23 to 26.
This is the first version of this event, which will bring together the Transitional Justice Committee, the Municipal Council for Peace, Reconciliation and Coexistence, the Municipal Council for Social Policy (COMPOS), the Children's Bureau, and different participation scenarios to discuss issues on public policy of victims of armed conflict.
Miraflores, located southeast of San José del Guaviare capital of the department, rises municipally on the northeastern margin of the Vaupés River in what is known as the Colombian Amazon, counting within its jurisdiction with 15 indigenous reserves.
According to the Unified Registry of Victims in Miraflores, 669 people reported having suffered from different victimizing events that affected their way of life in the context of violence. For this reason, the territorial director for Eastern Meta and Llanos, Carlos Pardo Alezones, said that "this schedule of actions to be carried out in this municipality, will advance the objectives of comprehensive care and reparation to victims, betting not only to review what happened in the past, but how we are going to strengthen as a National System of Comprehensive Care and Reparation for Victims, expressions of victims and civil society for peace and territorial reconciliation".
The official stressed that the Unit in this municipality has invested more than $ 568 million pesos in community infrastructure projects that seek to promote and enhance initiatives that contribute to reducing the vulnerability of population in the face of armed conflict, strengthening the capacity of the response institutional, guaranteeing access to basic needs after having suffered some victimizing event.
"Likewise, we have handed over administrative reparations to survivors of armed conflict who declared facts in this municipality, for a figure that exceeds $ 500 million COP, guaranteeing the advancement of their life projects" highlighted the territorial director.
